Sonance Architectural ASMP6S 1/2" Square Gypsum Mounting Platform For AS68 Speaker

This ASMP6S Platform from Sonance is for a Square 6.5" Grille Finish aesthetic are designed for ceiling installations as they contain an integrated back mounting bracket that seamlessly integrates the Architectural Series Medium (AS68) or Discreet Opening System (AS38RS) speakers.

Precision engineered Mounting Platforms provide flexibility to align with light fixtures or ceiling features and deliver the highest quality result in drywall, plaster, wood, and other solid surfaces. The Gypsum platforms can be cut to size easily if required.

The mounting platforms are available in panel thicknesses of 12.7mm or 1/2" and 15.88mm or 5/8" and for a variety of wall coverings and finishes including level 5 drywall, textured drywall, wallpaper, and plaster. They are designed so that the opening can be positioned anywhere within standard 12" to 24" or 304.8mm to 609.6mm on centre joist spacing.

The panel is made of 100% pressed gypsum board.

One Mounting Platform is required per speaker installed.

The Gypsum platforms can be cut to size easily if required.

If using the optional retrofit enclosure for the AS38RS or AS68RS speakers, be sure to attach the enclosure prior to attaching the panel bracket to the joists.

You will need to remove and discard the strain relief wire tie in order to attach the enclosure.

Please Note: The retrofit enclosure must be added before installing the panel bracket to the ceiling. Retrofit enclosures cannot be added after the drywall / plaster boarding work is complete.
