BenQ's high end cinema projectors provide advanced colour temperature tuning with leading 11 levels of white balance controls between high to low brightness, enabling content fans to adjust to the most accurate colours in mid-tone colours.

Most movies are shot at 24 frames per second (fps). In order to display movies exactly as the director intended, the W5800 supports 24P playback that accepts high definition sources at 24 fps without judder in HDR mode to preserve the purity of the original image.

Utilising an all glass lens system featuring 14 element 7 group coated with low dispersion materials, the projector has superior transparency to greatly reduce colour difference, fully displaying 4K image clarity. Applying the industry leading Local Contrast Enhancer (LCE) algorithm to divide images into 1,000+ zones, LCE analyses each segment's brightness and adjusts gamma independently for greater dark and bright detail definition and enriched image depth.

The 1.6x optical motorized zoom enables effortless adjustment of the projector's throw ratio for flexible screen placement. Unlike digital zoom, the optical zoom preserves image quality without pixel decay and latency. The W5800 employs 2D lens shift (±50% vertical and ±21% horizontal) to provide perfectly straight edged images without loss of resolution, allowing more flexible installation and placement options.
